We will be closed this Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for a mini break.I will not get more than 2 days off a week till November.By Friday night i will have worked 11 out of the previous 10 days at an average of 15 hours per day. This is not me complaining about my workload, i love what i do, but sometimes you have to take time to smell the roses , play with the kids and recharge the batteries.See you all on the 9th, bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Kowetha sowsnack wheag
...which means "Dear English friend"
On May Day, Padstow's big day of celebration, i had a note put through the letter box of the Bistro. To paraphase the jist of the note, it pointed out that the "The flag of St George is an insult to the Cornish due to historical events when the English massacred thousands of Cornish people.."
We had 3 flags in our window , representing the people who work here.A Welsh flag for me, and St Georges Cross for our English staff ( and my wife) and a St Piran's Flag for our Cornish staff (and our children), we have done this for the last decade, nobody had taken offence.Today i took the time to ask some Cornish people their thoughts.Nobody thought it was offensive. So to the people who wrote the note...
Have the guts to sign your name, and your thinly disguised threat of the "terrorist organisation 'An Gof' really aren't going to win the hearts and minds of the people of Cornwall. You ask for respect for the Cornish people, you have a funny way of showing respect for other nations.
